Dramaturgy

Just as I sometimes call on other people to help me with my plays, so I also work with other playwrights – professional and amateur – to help them develop and realise theirs.

I try to do this with a view to enabling people to write the play they want to write rather than one I might like to write myself (!) but I do bring to the table my own experience as a playwright and director.

Sessions can take place face to face, over the phone or on line and usually consist of discussion and questions about what the writer has produced – be that an outline, treatment or draft script.
